We believe that Jesus summed up the Law of Moses and the prophets when he said, "You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul and all your mind. And a second is like it; love your neighbor as yourself. All of the other commandments and all the demands of the prophets rest on these two command-ments."

Love is the lens we must use in deciding what we believe. Our culture gives us a paradox: the pursuit of individualism leads us to a place of hunger for loving community. Our world hungers for more than friendship. Many millions suffer because of their living environment. Taking the loneliness of our culture and all the ills of humanity and creation into account and with Jesus' admonition to love our neighbor unconditionally, we set forth our articles of belief.

We believe…

That the Christian scriptures are infallible in teaching the Divine way of love and justice.

That God's love is unconditional and universal. No one is beyond His loving care and parenting. His justice burns against those who oppress and destroy the poor, the sick and the hungry. His love blesses the weak, the peacemakers, and those that mourn.

That in His love for the world He gave His only Son, Jesus, whom we believe, is both man and God. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except by Me." We believe Jesus came to bring reconciliation, healing and salvation to his creation. And that those who believe in him and follow in the Jesus Way will have abundant and everlasting life.

That the Holy Spirit lives in the followers of Jesus and arouses our consciences leading us into the new life promised by Jesus where compassionate and merciful living emulates His life.

That acts of kindness like giving water to the thirsty, feeding the hungry and visiting those in jail are acts done directly to Jesus. Those who do not participate in mercy and compassion will be cast into eternity separated from God.

That Jesus will appear once again on Earth, in bodily form, to finish the total re-creation of God's perfect kingdom.
